   Hello,

   This is my first post here.

   I will be moving shortly to accept a posting in Romania. However I have learned that my wife would not be able to work in Romania even after we have been issued with Temperory Residence Permits. I would very much like to see her also working as I dont want her career to suffer because of my job.

   Please advice if this is accurate. Would she have to find herself an employer willing to sponsor her? She is a chef by profession.

   Hi,

   Yes, that's right. If she is not an European Union citizen she will most probably need a work permit, and the work permit can be obtained only after she finds a company willing to employ her.
   But if she has a strong experience she might be able to find a suitable job.
